How to solve not connected to internet problem for Netflix device
I uses my Philips blue-ray player to watch Netflix. Recently I encountered “Not connected to internet” message when I click on “NETFLIX” app. I connected my blue-ray player wireless with my router. Here is how I fix the issue.
1. Check Wireless connection is good by using other devices. i.e. tablet and computer.

4. Turn off the blue-ray player then turn on it again.
5. Click on “NETFLIX” app, it will ask you to activate device again.
6. Login to my computer and follow up on-screen instructions on blue-ray player and activate my blue-ray player again.
7. After it is activated, NETFLIX issue is fixed.
Malformed certificate when using IE 8.0 and Chrome
Recently one of my friend talked to me that he has issue to access www.linkedin.com with IE 8.0 and Chrome on his computer. He said he received this message when browsed through Chrome.
Cannot connect to the real www.linkedin.com
Something is currently interfering with your secure connection to www.linkedin.com.
Try to reload this page in a few minutes or after switching to a new network. If you have recently connected to a new Wi-Fi network, finish logging in before reloading.
If you were to visit www.linkedin.com right now, you might share private information with an attacker. To protect your privacy, Chrome will not load the page until it can establish a secure connection to the real www.linkedin.com.
What does this mean?
www.linkedin.com normally uses encryption (SSL) to protect your information. When Chrome tried to connect to www.linkedin.com this time, www.linkedin.com returned unusual and incorrect credentials. Either an attacker is trying to pretend to be www.linkedin.com, or a Wi-Fi login screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.
Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later. You can also try switching to another network.
The certificate that Chrome received during this connection attempt is not formatted correctly, so Chrome cannot use it to protect your information.
Error type: Malformed certificate
Issuer: DigiCert SHA2 Secure Server CA
After tried out a few things, his issue is resolved after applied service pack 3 on his Windows XP machine. LinkedIn have switched to a SHA-256 signed certificate, but SHA-256 wasn’t supported in XP until SP3. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322389
1. Type in “about:config” in URL
2. Click “I’ll be careful, I promise!” button.
How to close apps in Windows 8
In the previous versions of Windows, an “X” in the top right hand corner existed in every application. In Windows 8 with the Modern UI, there are lots places where “X” is missing. How to close Windows 8 apps?
If you have a mouse or touchpad, you could hover your mouse at the top center of the screen you will see your mouse icon turn into an open hand. Click and hold as the hand grabs the top of the page and drag your mouse to the bottom of the page. The app will disappear from the app list on the left hand side, but in some cases it will take several minutes for the app to actually close.
This is equivalent to a gesture on Surface tablets. Swiping from the top of the screen all the way to the bottom of the screen — that dismisses an app from the left hand tray, but not immediately from the Task Manager. While Modern UI apps are supposed to go away after being idle for a certain amount of time.
